If you’ve never been to Longwood Gardens at Christmas, you should go!  It’s a wonderland both inside the conservatory and outside.  If that doesn’t get you in the spirit, nothing will.  It gets crowded, so I’d recommend going on a weekday and making advance reservations.  You won’t regret it.  The outdoor fountain show makes my heart sing.  Seeing the lights while sipping hot chocolate and listening to the voices of enthusiastic children is sure to melt your heart too.  Here are some photos from my last visit.
