Family Portrait

We thought it would be fun to take a family portrait of myself, Jerry, Elysia, and my mother, Betty Sylva. I suggested Lock Ridge Park and Furnace Museum in Alburtis, and everyone was ready to go. We were in a bit of a hurry because we had a wedding to go to out of town. We set up the camera on a tripod, and gave it a go. It was a challenge to get a decent photograph when you are a subject. The sun kept changing intensity because there were some scattered clouds. Some of the best shots contained unplanned lens flare right on my face! There were some problems with my remote control that meant I had to keep running around between shots. While I wasn’t completely satisfied, I was happy that we got one image that was nice. I’d like try it again next spring. Note to self: remember to put fresh batteries in the remote, and don’t schedule it for a day when you have a ton of things to do!
