Lensbaby

What is a Lensbaby? It’s a special camera lens that allows you to select the focus point for your image, and create a certain amount of blur elsewhere. You can create interesting effects with a Lensbaby that really can’t be done any other way even in post processing software like Photoshop. I recently purchased a Lensbaby, and I’ve done some nature photography with it. Today I decided to try it out on some portraits. Elysia and I went to Stonehedge Gardens, a certified wildlife habitat in Tamaqua, PA. They have some very nice grounds and we decided to see if we could get some different style portraits. If you look closely at this shot, you can see that her legs are blurry, and the specks of light behind her are heart shaped. I thought the hearts were the perfect symbol for the daisy Elysia is holding. Have you ever tried removing the petals one by one? “Love me, love me not.” These are just some of the things you can do with a Lensbaby. This is going to be fun!
